Simply put, $30 an hour. No trip charges and no hidden charges. If the job is going to take under 1 to 1 1/2 hours, it will be done in your home. In some cases, we may ask to take the computer, in which case you will have it back within 24 - 48 hours unless parts are needed.
New System Setup Although this is not a hard task for most users, it is sometimes recommended to have a computer tech set it up. Simple reason is to remove all of the garbage that is pre-installed on your system that you may not need is running in the background and slowing up the computer. Also, important things like security software may not be installed from the manufacture and needs to be loaded as soon as possible. This task usually takes under an hour. System Tune Up Every so often (1 every 6 months depending on usage) your computer should be cleaned. What is cleaned? Your basic computer file structure will be checked (disk clean up and defrag, temp files), your software will be cleaned up (old, out dated software will be removed upon your approval), system registry will be detailed, security and windows software will be looked at and updated. This should only last an hour or less, depending on the frequency of use and clean up. Internet Service Install If you are planning on switching your isp (internet service provider) let me help. We can get you the things you need and make sure your computer is setup correctly to receive the maxium benefit of your new connection. Set up may include things like, updating your security, software, installing email program, and a quick tutorial on how to use your new isp system. This process should take under an hour. Full System Restore Is your computer running really slow? It may be infected and like a termite in wood, you may have removed all the treats, but the holes still remain. The fastest way to get your computer back up and running is through a full system restore. Not only does this bring your computer back to the way you purchased it, all the correct security software can be installed so you don't go through this process again. This usually takes about 2 hours. Basic Software Install Did you purchase a new program or equipment that you want to work with your computer? Let me help you install it correctly and show you how to use it in the comfort of your own home. This process should take under 1 hour with the tutorial. Basic Hardware Install Need more memory or storage? Time to upgrade your video or sound card? Let me know! Not only may I be able to get the part cheaper than buying it through the store, I can also help you make the right choice based on your needs without worring about what the sales person is trying to sell you. This should take under 1 hour. Network Install Did you purchase a new computer and need them all to share the internet and possibly a printer? Want them to talk to each other to share files, music and videos? I can educate you on the right purchase, install it and make sure it is secure so no one can break into it. This process usually takes about an 1 - 2 hours depending on computers and devices networked. Basic Tutorials Need help with a particular program? Let us help you learn how to use it in the comfort of your own home. No need for books (although they are great reference materials), no need to go to a class, no need to be taught something you don't need. Ask your questions and get undivided attention.
